Apostille

An Apostille is a form of authentication issued to documents for use in countries that participate in the Hague Convention on October 5, 1961. (Cf. Vienna Convention on Consular Relations on April 24, 1963)

Click here for the countries that accept apostilled degree certificates (more than 120 Contracting Parties) as legal documents. In other countries you need an Affidavit of Confirmation, and a Certificate of Authority for a Notarial Act (CANA) before you can apply for an apostille.
